EcoBeats 8-week Drumming course for kids
Below is the registration form for the 8-week long EcoBeats drumming course that will take place at the PCYC, Tweed Heads . The location is a COVID-safe one. Please note, you will need to become a member of the PCYC if you are not already. Membership for youths is $10 for 1 year and can be done at the venue before the first class.
The upcoming 8-week course will be for primary school students on Monday afternoons at the following times:
Monday February 8 - March 29.
5-7yr olds 4:30pm-5:00pm NSW time (3:30pm QLD time)
8-12yr olds 5:00pm-5:30pm NSW time (4pm QLD time)
The cost of the 8 week course is $100. As EcoBeats is a NSW Creative Kids Provider, the $100 fee is covered by your NSW Creative Kids voucher. If you live in QLD or if you have already used your Creative Kids voucher but wish for your child to participate in the program there is an option to pay for the course online or via bank transfer. If you haven’t registered for your Creative Kids voucher yet simply visit service.nsw.gov.au/creativekids or call 13 77 88.
8-week drumming course
EcoBeats 8 week drumming course for primary and high school students is a fun way of teaching drumming and music to students. Students will learn:
How to listen to each other
Basic music theory including rhythm, counting and timing
Dynamics and tempo - speeding up, slowing down, playing louder and softer
Simple to more complex drum beats
Drum technique
Drum rudiments and fills
To participate in all activities and give everything a go
